Youth Para Karate Program
Karate with Aoife is proud to offer a Para-Karate program, providing young athletes with disabilities the opportunity to participate in karate training, personal development, and competition in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Para-Karate is an adapted form of karate that allows athletes of all abilities to experience the physical, mental, and social benefits of martial arts. Training focuses on developing confidence, coordination, fitness, discipline, and individual achievement while adapting instruction to meet each athlete's unique needs and goals.
Athletes may choose to participate recreationally or pursue competitive opportunities through Karate PEI and Karate Canada pathways.
Since 2015, Karate Canada has included Para-Karate divisions at its National Championships, providing athletes with opportunities to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
